Sussex won the toss and elected to bat first as the captain Luke Wright had confidence on his side. He opened the innings alongside Philip Salt who failed to do well. However, the next batsman Ravi Bopara did well though. They took on every bowler and soon crossed the 100 run mark in 12 overs. However, after the break of their partnership, they couldn’t bounce back well.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan tried his best and in the 19th over of the innings, it was a game-changer. While Scott Currie was bowling, he made a clear plan to restrict the opponents. He removed Wiese in the very first ball which brought Rashid Khan on the strike. And, he welcomed him with a cracking boundary. However, the next delivery was sent to the stands that too with a helicopter shot which has become popular for none other than former India captain MS Dhoni.

However, Currie tried to take revenge on it with a well-directed bouncer but was slightly away from the batsman and Rashid Khan reached out for it and hit a six. Later, he smashed two consecutive boundaries and took a single off the final ball to retain strike for the final over as well.

Meanwhile, he hit another boundary and scored 26 before getting dismissed. And, his short cameo was enough to post a big total on the board for the Sussex side as well as they ended at 183/6 at the end of 20 overs as well. Although Rashid Shan could not do well with the ball as he proved to be very expensive and that too went wicketless. And, Hampshire registered a convincing victory by 6 wickets as well.
