She was asked about her favourite team in the IPL. Everyone thought the answer to be either Mumbai Indians or Chennai Super Kings. But she turned out to be a fan of Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, she didn’t mention the name of RCB, instead, she mentioned the club’s slogan ‘Ee Saala Cup Namde’.

This has been RCB’s motto-cum-slogan for the past few years, which loosely translated as ‘this year cup is ours’. RCB is desperately waiting to break the jinks of not lifting the silverware in the Indian T20 league. The team has reached the finals on three occasions but never crossed the last hurdle.

Rashmika, then, went on to name her favourite cricketer. She didn’t hesitate while naming former Indian skipper MS Dhoni as her favourite player. She went on to praise Dhoni for his batting, captaincy and wicketkeeping abilities.

“Dhoni batting, captaincy, wicket keeping … that means he will fall and die … he is a master class player. Dhoni is my hero,” quoted Rashmika in an interactive chat.

MS Dhoni is often regarded as arguably the best captain the world has ever witnessed. Dhoni is the only skipper to win all three ICC events while leading his team. He first won the World T20 back in 2007 before leading India to a memorable triumph in the World Cup 2011 at home turf. He added Champions Trophy to his cabinet in 2013. Apart from it, he took India to number one in the Test rankings as well.
