When asked to name her favorite cricketer and favorite team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), famous Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna picked Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The 27-year-old, who starred in movies like Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1, Varisu, Sita Ramam, and Mission Majnu among many others, termed Virat Kohli as a swagger and also said that the 34-year-old is awesome.

“I am from Bangalore, I am from Karnataka and we have ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ slogan going on so I think that just carried on. I hope this time IPL I can go and see RCB play,” Mandanna said in a video tweeted by Star Sports. “Virat Sir, he is a swagger, he is awesome,” Mandanna added when asked about her favorite cricketer.

Notably, Virat Kohli is witnessing a purple patch in the ongoing season. The 34-year-old has amassed 333 runs in eight games so far and with that, he is fifth on the IPL Orange Cap list. Currently, the legendary cricketer is also leading the RCB franchise as regular skipper Faf du Plessis is only playing as an Impact Player.

Luckow Super Giants (LSG) registered a close win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) earlier in the season and thus, the three-time runner-ups will be gunning to finally get their revenge, when these two teams will be facing each other on May 1 in Lucknow. Notably, they are currently sixth on the IPL Points Table and therefore will aim to register a win and improve their standing in the competition.

However, in order to do so, their middle order needs to click, which hasn’t been the case so far. Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell are playing exceptionally well but once they walk back to the pavilion, RCB struggles to get going. Even with the ball, cricketers like Harshal Patel and David Willey, and Vijaykumar Vyshak need to improve massively.
