The Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi uprooted the stumps of Janith Liyanage in the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka ongoing at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday. Bishnoi was brought into the playing XI for the third game as the replacement of the place of Yuzvendra Chahal. The series was already secured after India won the first two games by a comfortable margin.

Rohit Sharma was keen on giving opportunities to the untested players and as a result, they made four changes. One of them, Ravi Bishnoi, had an impact in his very first over. Prior to the Lankans, the West Indies players were unable to read Bishnoi’s googlies. It was the same case with Liyanage as well.

Janith Liyanage was already struggling in his innings having scored 9 in 18 deliveries. He received a tossed-up delivery outside the off-stump and he attempted to defend onto the leg side. However, the ball turned in and took the inside edge to ricochet onto the stumps.

It was a painful knock and Liyanage was finally put out of his misery. Sri Lanka was seen reeling at a meager score of 29/4 in the 9th over.
