LSG leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi found himself in a heated exchange with umpire Abhijit Bhattacharya after an on-field decision went against him during the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who walked in early after SRH lost two quick wickets in the powerplay, was anchoring the innings and looked in fine touch.

However, he had a stroke of luck when Bishnoi nearly had him dismissed. In the 11th over, Bishnoi bowled a flat-length delivery on middle and leg, and Reddy attempted a reverse sweep but missed. The LSG players went up in a strong appeal, but umpire Abhijit Bhattacharya remained unmoved.

Convinced it was out, Ravi Bishnoi persuaded captain Rishabh Pant to take a DRS review. The replays showed the ball was clipping the stumps, but the umpire’s call saved Reddy. Bishnoi was visibly frustrated and was seen arguing with the umpire, who gestured that the ball was sliding down leg. The leg-spinner’s displeasure was evident as he watched the big screen in disbelief.

However, Ravi Bishnoi didn’t have to wait too long for revenge. A few overs later, he bowled a beautiful delivery that skidded onto the middle stump, cleaning up Reddy. The young all-rounder, who had looked promising, departed for 32 off 28 balls, striking at over 114 with two boundaries.

It was not an ideal outing for SRH, as their top order faltered. Abhishek Sharma (6) and Ishan Kishan failed to make an impact, while Travis Head continued his superb form with a fluent 47. Despite flashes of brilliance, SRH struggled to build momentum, with Bishnoi playing a key role in LSG’s bowling attack.
