Ravi Bishnoi Hits The Bullseye To Send Back Ruturaj Gaikwad

The young Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad got a run-out in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. After being asked to bat first, CSK was off to a flying start as the veteran batter Robin Uthappa smashed amazing boundaries in the first few overs. However, in the third over, which was bowled by Andrew Tye, opener Ruturaj Gaikwad got run-out after scoring only 1 run of 4 balls after a throw from Ravi Bishnoi.

LSG pacer Avesh Khan conceded 14 runs in his first over and Dushmantha Chameera gave away 12 runs in his first over. On the third ball of the 3rd over Tye delivered a full-length delivery and Gaikwad missed his flick shot, which resulted in the ball hitting his pads and rolling away to point, the Lucknow Super Giants players went for LBW appeal but the umpire denied.

However, Gaikwad wanted a single but Robin Uthappa denied it, which forced Ruturaj Gaikwad to return back to the crease but Ravi Bishnoi’s rocket throw destroyed the stumps before Gaikwad managed to come back to the crease.

Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants skipper, KL Rahul won the toss and opted to field first in the match and they made one change in the team by including Andrew Tye in the playing XI in place of Mohsin Khan.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), on the other hand, made three big changes in the playing XI as Moeen Ali, Dwaine Pretorius, and Mukesh Choudhary replaced Kiwi all-rounder Mitchell Santner, Kiwi batter Devon Conway and Kiwi pacer Adam Milne, who had a side strain.
