Ravi Bishnoi is rapidly establishing himself as one of the premier fielders in the Indian cricket team. The 23-year-old showcased his exceptional fielding skills by running out Johnathan Campbell, putting India in a commanding position. After Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl, Zimbabwe’s openers, Wessly Madhevere and Tadiwanashe Marumani, started strongly, sharing a 63-run partnership for the first wicket.

India needed a breakthrough, and Abhishek Sharma delivered in the ninth over by dismissing Marumani for 32 runs. Shivam Dube followed up in the 10th over by removing Madhevere for 25, reducing Zimbabwe to 67 for 2.

Brian Bennett and captain Sikandar Raza then attempted to stabilize the innings, but their partnership was short-lived. Washington Sundar broke their 25-run stand by dismissing Bennett for 9 runs. Four runs later, Ravi Bishnoi executed a brilliant run-out to send Campbell back to the pavilion, putting India firmly in control.

The run-out occurred on the fourth ball of the 15th over. Bishnoi’s delivery was defended by Raza towards the right side of the bowler. Raza initially called for a quick single, and Campbell responded, sprinting halfway down the pitch.

However, Raza changed his mind and turned back to the crease. Bishnoi charged towards the ball, made a sliding effort to pick it up, and then threw a direct hit at the non-striker’s end. Campbell was well short of the crease, resulting in his dismissal for 3 runs off as many balls.

Zimbabwe concluded their innings at 152/7, their highest total in the series so far. They will be hoping to defend this total to stay alive in the five-match series. India, on the other hand, will aim to chase down the target and secure another victory in the series.
