England all-rounder Ravi Bopara is in all readiness to play Bangladesh Premier League, where he will feature for Rangpur Riders under the leadership of Mashrafee Mortaza. Before the commencement of the tournament, Bopara praised him saying that he is a guy you want to play for.

“Mash is a type of guy you want to play for,” he pointed out. “He gives 100 percent so you have to give 100 percent. It is good for any team. Nobody can be lazy with Mash. He is a good cricketer. He is a very accurate bowler, and he can smack the ball against the spinners. He has authority, which is good,” he said.

Bopara has been sidelined by the selectors after England’s debacle in the World Cup 2015. However, his abilities in the T20 format have never been under a spot of doubt. He is very active in the T20 circuit around the world and plays for several franchise.

While, decoding the needs of this format, Bopara tells about the team balance in the tournament. There have been big players in the past, like last year you had Kumar Sangakkara and Dwayne Bravo and the competition has always been good in Bangladesh and there are some good spin players here. A lot depends on the pitches – if they are good we are going to have a good tournament. If they are bad then it will be interesting. We expect competition against every team, but we have got the team,” he added.

The latest season of BPL will kick off from November 4 and the final is scheduled to play on December 12 at Dhaka.
