Team India witnessing a forgettable outing in the 2021 edition of the same tournament. After losing the first two matches of the tournament (against Pakistan and New Zealand), the Indian team was out of the tournament despite winning the remaining games. The upcoming ICC tournament, T20 World Cup 2022 will be taking place in Australia. The tournament will begin on October 16 while the final is scheduled to be played on November 13.
The teams are divided into two groups named Group A and Group B. Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli are no more in the position of India’s head coach and the Indian skipper. Both of them ended their tenure in their respective roles after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021 itself.

Ravi Shastri, the former Indian head coach has finally made a comeback in the commentator’s role after a few years gap. The former all-rounder is part of the star network for the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2022. During an IPL game, Shastri emphasized the importance of having a southpaw pacer in the bowling unit.
Ravi Shastri explained how having a bowler of different skill sets can positively influence the bowling of a team. One of the commentators with Shastri asked him about his choice of left-arm pacer for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He pointed out a few names – T Natarajan, Arshdeep Singh, and Mukesh Choudhary.

However, Ravin Shastri put his weight behind Khaleel Ahmed to do the role for the national side. Khaleel Ahmed made his debut for India in the T20 series against the West indies. He was out of action for a while due to persistent injuries. However, He has managed to impress everyone in the ongoing season of the IPL.
