The Pakistan cricket team is having a great time in India ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Babar Azam-led side is receiving the hospitality of the highest standards as the organizers are making sure they love each and every second of their stay in India. Ahead of the tournament, all the captains of the ten participating teams attended the World Cup 2023 Captain’s Round table on Wednesday, October 04.
During the event, Pakistan captain Babar Azam was asked whether he liked the famous Hyderabadi Biryani by former India cricketer turned commentator Ravi Shastri. Babar was left in splits while answering the question and replied that he’s already answered the question over 100 times.

“Babar Biryani kaisa tha (How was the Biryani?),” asked Ravi Shastri. “I’ve already told 100 times. It was good, I had heard that Hyderabad’s Biryani is good and we loved it,” replied Babar.
Notably, several videos of the Pakistan team enjoying lavish dinner during their stay in Hyderabad have gone viral all over social media. The cricketers even rated the stable delicacy of Hyderabad in a fun video shared by the ICC (International Cricket Council) where they were asked to choose between Hyderabadi Biryani and Karachi Biryani.

Babar rated Hyderabadi Biryani a bit spicier than Karachi one while Haris Rauf ended up rating it 20 out of ten.
Meanwhile, Pakistan didn’t get their tournament off to a good start as they lost both of their warm-up fixtures vs New Zealand and Australia at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. They will lock horns with the Netherlands in their first league game on Friday, October 06 at the same venue.

Following that, they will take on Sri Lanka on October 10 followed by a game against arch-rivals India on October 14. The Pakistan cricket team is enjoying their time in India and the hospitality that they are receiving. They will be hoping to turn the tables around when they start their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on Friday.
