Ever since the team landed in Australia for the long series ahead, the players have been contantly been posting uodates with photos being shared on social media by the players as well as the BCCI. The Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has also become a regular at sharing photos of himself with the players during the training session.

On Tuesday, the Indian heqd coach put up a post on a lighter note. In this one Shastri can be seen standing with Shreyas Iyer in the middle of training, busy in a conversation with the middle-order batsman, and he captioned it as, ‘It needs one to know one. Seemed the cheeky sort. Then realised he was same school and college as me’.
Both the players are from Mumbai and have done their schooling (a generation apart, of course) at Don Bosco High School, Matunga. After that both of them enrolled at Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai for their further studies.

It will be interesting to see if the common background gives any inspiration to Iyer and leads him to achieve the kind of greatness that Shastri has achieved first as a player and now as a coach.
