India and New Zealand continued their intense battle on Day 3 of the first Test in Bengaluru. After a disastrous first innings where India was bowled out for just 46 runs, New Zealand took full advantage, posting a commanding total of 402, putting them well ahead of the hosts. While the match itself offered plenty of drama, a lighter moment from the stands quickly went viral.
During the 7th over of India’s second innings, the commentators, Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri, were drawn to a spectator enjoying an ice cream. The fan’s amusing attempts to hide the treat caught the attention of viewers and commentators alike.

Ravi Shastri humorously remarked, “It is hot, you need that ice cream, but someone’s hiding behind. He’s a big unit, but where’s the ice cream boy?” Gavaskar, never one to miss a chance for banter, added, “He’s hiding the ice cream because someone from his family must have told him he shouldn’t be eating it.”
Trolling Level of Commentators.

On the field, New Zealand’s dominance continued as they built on their strong start. Devon Conway, who has been in superb form, contributed 91 runs, while Tom Latham supported with a solid 15. Will Young also chipped in with 33 runs, but the real star was all-rounder Rachin Ravindra.

Ravindra crafted a brilliant century, scoring 134 off 157 balls, guiding New Zealand to a formidable total. Former skipper Tim Southee added an important 65 runs, helping the visitors push past 400. With a massive deficit, India faces an uphill battle to save the match. They’ll need a strong showing with the bat in their second innings to post a competitive target and avoid a heavy defeat.
