England football fans are elated as the national team has reached the final of Euro 2020 and it has happened for the first time since 1966. Under Harry Kane’s leadership, England registered a thrilling 2-1 win over Denmark in teh semi-final and advanced to the finals of Euro 2020. The Brits will now meet Italy in the summit clash which takes place on Monday (July 13).
Notably, veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was also closely following the game between England and Denmark on Wednesday (July 7). After coming across his updates on social media, England women’s team cricketer Alex Hartley asked him which team he’s rooting for. In reply, Ravichandran Ashwin had no intention in tweeting the famous slogan of England football fans, making crystal clear that he wants the Three Lions to go all the way.

It all started when Ashwin made a post during the game. “Game on now! Hope #den can keep up with #eng now,” tweeted the 34-year-old. This post suggested that the off-spinner wants Denmark to win the game. Seeing this, Hartley asked in the comment section: “Who are you supporting?”

Laying assumptions to the rest, Ravichandran Ashwin then tweeted: “Hahahah.. It’s coming (home emoticon).” For the unversed, ‘It’s coming home’ is an anthem that England fans have been using to cheer the Brits in football tournaments. Unfortunately, they have only faced embarrassment since England’s triumph in the 1966 World Cup. The Three Lions tend to enter tournaments as favorites but rising up to expectations has been a problem for them.
Hahahah.. It’s coming 🏡 🤩🤩

However, England has witnessed a brilliant outing in Euro 2020 so far and is just a step away from clinching the elusive title. Hartley and Ravichandran Ashwin would be definitely cheering them on July 12 and Harry Kane’s men would not want to disappoint them.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin also happens to be in England currently for India’s upcoming five-match series against the home team, starting from August 4. On the other hand, Hartley hasn’t played for England since March 2019 and she would want to make a comeback soon.
