Every now and then, the cricketers often get engaged in friendly banters on social media which leaves the cricket fans in splits. In the latest round of banters, the Indian stalwarts, Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav were involved in a hilarious conversation on Instagram. Both the cricketers do not engage with their fans too much on social media but could not stop themselves from taking a shot at each other.

It all started when Umesh took to Instagram to post a video of himself doing weight training. The star pacer captioned the video: “#doyouliftbro”. Not a part of the T20I side, he is currently gearing up for the tour of New Zealand. India will leave New Zealand for a full-fledged tour later this month.

Meanwhile, Jadeja didn’t mince his words in an attempt to pull a leg of his teammate. The allrounder had some fun at the expense of Umesh as he wrote: “Ladkiya itna weight uthati hai😏 (Do girls life this much weight?)”

Well, Umesh was having none of it as he hit back by saying: ““Yeh toh sirf teaser tha, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost 😉 (This is just the trailer, the film is not over yet)”.

Unlike Umesh, Jadeja is a part of the ongoing T20I series against Sri Lanka. India is currently having an unassailable 1-0 lead after winning the second game. The first match of the series was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Jadeja is yet to get a chance in the playing XI and there is a very minute chance of him getting a chance in the third and final game.

Meanwhile, both Jadeja and Umesh have had a fine home season so far as Tests are considered. Both the players played integral roles in five consecutive Test wins in the ongoing home season (3-0 against South Africa, 2-0 against Bangladesh). The all-rounder went on to scalp 13 wickets against South Africa and scored two fifties.

On the other hand, Umesh picked up 12 wickets against Bangladesh and 11 against South Africa. He recently picked up a five-wicket haul while playing for Vidarbha in Ranji Trophy.
