Recently, Rivaba Jadeja shared a picture of the Bharatiya Janata Party membership card of star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. With such a move, one could gauge how seriously he is getting along with the political party. This is no small thing, considering that Rivaba herself is a Member of Parliament from the Jamnagar North Assembly constituency, representing the BJP.

The BJP has rolled out a membership drive to reach out to the younger generation, making them more aware of the works of the government and what it is doing. Rivaba joined the BJP in 2019 and won the Jamnagar assembly seat in 2022, defeating Karshanbhai Karmur of the Aam Aadmi Party.

The membership drive of the party has been high on its agenda-one that saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the first to renew his membership. The BJP aims to enrol two crore primary members in Gujarat in what can be termed as a major thrust to shore up its base.

Jadeja missed the white-ball series against Sri Lanka after his retirement and was also inducted into the Duleep Trophy. However, BCCI withdrew him from India B’s squad for reasons unknown. A lot of fans would hope to see him back into action when India takes on Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, starting on 19 September in Chennai.
