Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja gave back the captaincy of the franchise to MS Dhoni. Jadeja also got to lead when Dhoni stepped down from the CSK captaincy before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. However, Jadeja resigned from the captaincy without even leading the team for less than 10 matches.

Under Ravindra Jadeja, CSK suffered six defeats in the IPL 2022 season. With this, Dhoni returned to his position as CSK captain. Jadeja became an utter flop as a player in the season after taking over as captain. Not only as a batsman and bowler, but he also dropped easy catches.

Despite the rumors that Ravindra Jadeja has resigned as captain because he cannot bear the pressure of captaincy. CSK openers Dewan Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad added in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) which was the first game as the captain for MS Dhoni this season. Gaikwad missed a century as he scored 99.

Veteran commentator, Charu Sharma tweeted about the same and wrote: “Applause for Gaekwad & Conway. But did they score due to Dhoni’s return as skipper? Of course not! Though too late now for @ChennaiIPL a relieved @imjadeja can play hero again.#IPL2022 #CricketTwitter #SRHvCSK.”
