Despite the setback, India bounced back in the absence of key players like Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli in the second Test. Youngsters such as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill made significant contributions with the bat, while Jasprit Bumrah displayed a stellar bowling performance, leading India to a 106-run victory and leveling the series at 1-1.

As Jadeja looks forward to the upcoming Test in Rajkot, he is on the verge of achieving a rare milestone in Indian cricket history. The all-rounder has the opportunity to join the elite company of Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin as the only Indian players with 3,000 runs and 250 wickets in Test cricket.

Currently, Jadeja is just 107 runs away from this unique feat and needs 20 more wickets to reach the milestone of 300 Test wickets. While Jadeja is set to make his comeback, India will miss the services of Virat Kohli, who has withdrawn from the remaining Tests due to personal reasons.
