Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has suffered a knee injury during the third Test at Headingley and he has been taken to a hospital for precautionary scans on his knee after India’s defeat in the third Test. He was taken for the test to get a clear view of the seriousness of the injury and it will be known on Saturday after reports from the hospital come in.
However, Ravindra Jadeja has posted a story on his Instagram profile with the caption “not a good place to be at.” Meanwhile, he will get four whole days to recover from his injury as the Headingley Test has been ended within four days as India lost by an innings as well as 76 runs. Notably, the upcoming Test will begin at The Oval on September 2.

On the other hand, Jadeja suffered the injury on the second day while fielding on the boundary line. He was also out of the field for some time after clutching his right leg. However, he returned again after and continued to bowl as well. However, he had also suffered a finger injury during the Sydney Test against Australia earlier in the year.
Meanwhile, India captain Virat Kohli has opened up about the line-up for the next Test after losing the third one against England by an innings and 76 runs. While speaking in the post-match virtual presentation, he has ruled out the concept of playing with another batsman in the next Test match which will take place at The Oval in London.
Virat Kohli shared that he would continue with five specialist bowlers, and gave the hint of a possible change in the attack in order to maintain the workload of the players as well.

“I don’t believe in that balance and I have never believed in that balance because either you can try and save a defeat or you can try and win a game. And we have drawn games in the past with a similar number of batters,” Kohli said. “If your top six (including keeper) don’t do the job there is no guarantee that the extra guy can bail you out. You have to take pride in taking responsibility and doing the job for the team. If you don’t have the ability or resources to take 20 wickets in a Test match, then you are already playing for two results and that’s not how we play.”
He continued: “That’s bound to happen as it’s a logical and sensible thing to do. We don’t want to push individuals to a place where they break down and that conversation is important. We will have that conversation with individuals and you can’t expect that in a short turnaround like these guys can play four Test matches in a row. So, we will assess who are the guys who will be given that many number of days to recover and be okay for the fifth one.”
