All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has shifted gears into T20 mode as he joins his franchise, the Chennai Super Kings, for their pre-season camp ahead of IPL 2024. Jadeja’s recent standout performances were instrumental in India’s commanding 4-1 victory over England in a five-match Test series on home soil. During the Test series, Jadeja formed a formidable partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin, causing havoc for the visiting England team.
Together, the spin duo claimed an impressive tally of 45 wickets, with Ravichandran Ashwin emerging as the series’ leading wicket-taker. Now, as the IPL season approaches, Jadeja and Ashwin find themselves on opposing sides, with Jadeja representing defending champions CSK and Ashwin donning the colours of the Rajasthan Royals.
In anticipation of the season opener between CSK and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the reigning champions shared a heartwarming clip of Jadeja congratulating his India teammate Ravichandran Ashwin on his remarkable milestones achieved during the England series.

In a delightful surprise for his fans, Ravindra Jadeja even spoke a few words in Tamil, a language close to the hearts of cricket fans in Chennai.
“Meesa Vechavan Indran, Meesa Vekkathavan Chandran (The one with the mustache is Indran. The one without the mustache is Chandran,” playfully quoted Ravindra Jadeja, referencing an iconic dialogue from an old Rajnikanth Tamil movie called Thillu Mullu. “Nalla irukku, Ash, Romba nalla irukku, Ash! (Looking good, Ash. Looking very good!),” he added.
