Former Pakistan all-rounder, Abdul Razzaq continues to make huge claims about premier Indian cricketers. A day after calling fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah a “baby bowler”, he has now targetted the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli by saying Kohli is a consistent but legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar was a different class altogether.
As per the quotes in cricketpakistan.com.pk, Razzaq said, “We are not seeing the same world-class players that we played against say between 1992 to 2007. T20 cricket has changed the game. There is no depth in bowling, batting or fielding. It is all basic now. Look at Virat Kohli when he scores he scores. Yeah, he is a good player for them and is performing consistently, but I don’t place him in the same class as Sachin Tendulkar, who was a different class altogether.”
Virat has amassed as many as 43 One-day International (ODI) centuries to his name, six short of Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 49. Kohli, 31, had broken Tendulkar’s record of being the quickest to 11000 runs. Kohli took 222 innings to achieve the feat while Tendulkar achieved it in 276 innings.

Earlier, Razzaq had said, “After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. I have played against great bowlers like Glenn Mcgrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him. Bumrah is doing very well and has improved a lot. He has an awkward action and hits the seam perfectly, which is why he is effective.”
Kohli, who has scored 11520 ODI runs in his career so far, will be next seen in the first of the three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against the West Indies, scheduled to commence on Friday. He averages 60.31 in ODIs and regained the no.1 position in the Test rankings.
