The Indian team under the captaincy of Virat Kohli is currently lagging behind in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in Southampton. Earlier, the initial signs suggested that India will go on to score a decent total after the 62-run opening stand between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. However, the Kiwi bowlers managed to make a brilliant comeback, and despite the brilliant batting of Ajinkya Rahane and Kohli, India got bundled out for 217.

When the second day ended on a score of 147/3 due to bad light, Team India was expected to have a good start on the next day, but New Zealand bowlers gave nothing to work on for the Indian batsmen. In response, New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway started their innings cautiously.

Conway and Lathan added 70 runs for the first wicket before Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed the latter. However, Devon Conway continued his form and scored a fighting half-century. However, Ishant Sharma dismissed the batsman towards the end of Day 3 with Kiwis starting at 101/2 with Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor on strike.

Meanwhile, during the early part of New Zealand’s batting, Jasprit Bumrah managed to beat Conway completely and asked the Indian skipper, Virat for a DRS. However, Virat decided not to take the DRS as he thought Conway had edged the ball and which the also evident in the replays.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled as many as 11 overs but failed to take any wicket. However, Rohit Sharma can be seen encouraging the bowler for his effort. In the video going viral on social media, Virat Kohli can be seen telling Jasprit Burmah that there is an inside edge. The captain was explaining to the bowler why they should not take a review for the same.
