The digital broadcasting platform Disney+ Hotstar witnessed an unprecedented surge in viewership during the match, surpassing all previous records for an India match.
Jay Shah expressed his appreciation for this achievement on his social media platform. In his post, he highlighted that the India vs. Pakistan match had attracted 2.8 crore concurrent users on Disney+ Hotstar, making it the highest-ever viewership for any India match in digital history. The previous record was set during the India vs. New Zealand semi-final of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, with 2.52 crore concurrent users.

The match saw India’s top-order batsmen setting the tone with impressive performances. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill contributed 56 and 58 runs, respectively, providing a strong foundation for the team. However, it was the unbeaten 233-run partnership between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul that propelled India to a formidable total of 356 runs.

Several records were shattered during the game, with Virat Kohli achieving several personal milestones. He became the fastest player to reach 13,000 ODI runs, achieved his 47th ODI century, and recorded his 77th century overall. Kohli also earned the distinction of scoring the joint-most centuries in winning causes for India.
For his unbeaten knock of 122 runs off 94 balls, Virat Kohli was awarded the Player of the Match. Following this victory, Team India is gearing up to face Sri Lanka in their upcoming Super Four match, aiming to secure another favorable result as they strive to reach the summit clash of the Asia Cup 2023.
