After taking a record 15 scalps in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah was named as Man of the Series for his brilliant bowling. He created the record of taking most no. of wickets by any bowler in a bilateral ODI series in Sri Lanka.

In recent times, Indian pacers are much more than just good after a long time and it is evident by the fact that six bowlers fighting for spots in the team. In ODIs, Bumrah has turned out to be one of the stars in the bowling department with his consistent performances.

Despite having a disappointing performance in the Champions Trophy the young pacer has shown his grit with the performances against Sri Lanka. His bowling performance has been extraordinary in this series, picking up a wicket every 17 balls, even his average of 11.27 has been sensational.

Bumrah had managed two 4+ wicket hauls in this series and become the only Indian pacer with multiple 4+ wickets hauls in his career. He finished the series on a high with yet another solid performance of 2 for and named the man-of-the series.

After his clinical performance, the possibility of Bumrah playing Tests has surely gone up. He was rested from the Windies tour and it seems that the rejuvenated Jasprit has come-up with all guns blazing.
