According to some latest report, Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is considering to retire from the international cricket after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has demoted him in the new central contracts that have been announced on last Monday (August 6).
In the new 33-member central contracts announced by PCB, Hafeez has been demoted from Category A to Category B. According to the Dawn, Hafeez is unhappy with the new contract and he is now considering the retirement from the international cricket.

According to the news sources, Hafeez is unhappy due to “discriminatory treatment” and that’s why he is even not interested to sign the new contract.
The report also claimed that Hafeez was dropped in the first four ODIs of the last month’s Zimbabwe tour by the head coach Mickey Arthur. In result, the 37-year-old had refused to play the fifth ODI of that bilateral series, who has played his last ODI in January 2018.

The 37-year-old right-handed batsman and right-arm off-spinner is playing the international cricket for Pakistan since 2003. He has played 50 Tests, 200 ODIs and 83 T20Is where he has scored a total of 11,224 runs (3,452 runs in Tests, 6,107 runs in ODIs and 1,665 runs in T20Is) and also has taken a total of 239 wickets (52 wickets in Tests, 136 wickets in ODIs and 51 in T20Is). In several times, he has been banned to bowl in the international cricket due to the suspected bowling action. However, at present, ICC has allowed him to bowl in the international cricket.
In his 333 international appearances, Hafeez has led the national side in 32 matches (29 T20Is, two ODIs and only Test).
While Hafeez has played his last Test in August 2016, he is still playing in ODIs and T20Is for Pakistan. However, at present, Hafeez is struggling with his form.
