Earlier, there were reports that foreign players may find it hard to participate in the second leg of the IPL 2021 due to national duties. However, a report published on cricket.com says Kiwi players will be available for the remaining games.

Meanwhile, IPL franchise officials are looking to talk with ECB and CA to grant their players allowance to play in the league.

The IPL 2021 was halted midway when the Covid-19 breached the bio-bubble and multiple players were tested positive. On May 4, BCCI decided the inevitable and suspended the league indefinitely.

Later on, they revealed the UAE will be staging the remaining games of the season in the September-October window, just before the T20 World Cup 2021.

“We are much relieved now. BCCI are in talks with English and Australian boards to come to a consensus regarding this. Given April and May are earmarked for the IPL, they are right to raise their own objections but we are now confirmed to witness New Zealand players in action,” the franchise official told Cricket.com.

On the other hand, England players may find it tough to play in the IPL 2021 keeping the national duties in check.

England is set to play white-ball internationals against Bangladesh and Pakistan to fine-tune their preparations for the T20 World Cup in the month of September, the same time when the IPL will be played.
