“The second T20I will go ahead later today and the last T20I will be played tomorrow,” a source in the know of developments told ANI on Wednesday.

Krunal came in close contact with Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Manish Pandey and K Gowtham, who all will be unavailable for the selection in the remaining games. However, Shikhar Dhawan is available for the selection and will lead the side.

“The second T20I between Sri Lanka and India originally scheduled to be played on July 27 has been pushed forward by a day and will now take place on Wednesday, July 28,” BCCI said in a statement.

According to Cricbuzz, BCCI added Ishan Porel, Sandeep Warrier, Arshdeep Singh, Sai Kishore and Simarjeet Singh to the Indian squad and will be available to get selected in the playing XI. All these were taken as net bowlers and now will be part of the squad.

Meanwhile, the doubts loom over Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav’s inclusion in the Indian Test squad for the upcoming series against England.

BCCI, on Monday, confirmed that both of these players have been drafted in the Test team as a cover for the injured players.

The Test series is scheduled to get underway from August 4 in Nottingham.
