Brisbane Heat got off to a flying start to 2020 as they have successfully registered back to back two wins. They were asked to bowl first against Hobart Hurricanes in Brisbane and their bowlers did exceptionally well. Josh Lalor turned out to be their star bowler, who took three wickets in his four-over spell including Simon Milenko, Thomas Rogers and Qais Ahmad. He was well supported by his teammate Ben Laughlin who also bagged two important wickets. In the end, the hosts put up a small target of 126 runs in twenty overs.

While chasing, it looked an easy task for the Brisbane Heat but it was not that easy. They struggled from the beginning after losing their openers very cheaply. At one point, they were struggling at 71 runs for the loss of five wickets. However, in the end, it was Ben Cutting who came to his side’s rescue by playing a brilliant knock of 43 runs off 29 balls with three sixes and as many boundaries. Even he was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant form with the bat.
