Shafali Verma drew attention for her sharp fielding, taking two crucial catches, while wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh was widely praised for her exceptional glovework behind the stumps. The 21-year-old was awarded the “Best Fielder” title by Bali, who presented her with a medal.

Richa Ghosh played a pivotal role, effecting a stumping and later completing an important catch to dismiss Pakistan captain Fatima Sana.  As Sana attempted a slog-sweep off Asha Sobhana in the 14th over, Richa’s quick reflexes saw her leap to her right to make a brilliant grab.

During a post-match speech in the dressing room, Bali acknowledged Richa’s contribution, saying, “Richa Ghosh’s wicketkeeping was excellent – one stumping and one extraordinary catch. Well done.” Richa, who had missed an easy catch in the tournament opener against New Zealand, credited Bali for helping her regain focus. “Sir advised me to forget about the missed catch and start fresh. It really worked for me,” she reflected after receiving her medal.

India’s bowling unit was spearheaded by Arundhati Reddy, who claimed three wickets, and Shreyanka Patil, who took two. Their efforts were backed by Renuka Singh, Deepti Sharma, and Asha Sobhana, who each picked up a wicket.

India successfully reached the target in 18.5 overs, securing their first win of the tournament.
