Though Sultans won the match by a close margin, their star batter Rossouw bagged the limelight for other reasons. During the game, the South Africa batter was seen carrying out a funny celebration as he smashed a six off Hasan Ali which completed his fifty. As soon as the video started going viral on social media, the batter came up with a reason from his end as to why he carried that typical move. Replying to the video on Twitter, Rilee Rossouw wrote: “Have to keep promises you make. You guys must thank my 7-year-old daughter for that one.” So, it was clear that the batter did the funny dance at the request of his seven-year-old daughter.

Talking of the game, Islamabad won the toss and they decided to bowl first where their decision backfired as Sultans went to post a huge total of 217 runs on the board. David and Rossouw were instrumental in pushing their team managed to surpass the 200-run mark. Apart from these two batters, opener Shah Masood took the team to a flying start with his 31-ball 43.

During the chase, United batters failed to handle the pressure well and kept losing their wickets in regular intervals. Shadab Khan was the brightest spot and the lone warrior from their batting setup who smashed 91 off 42 but it went in the drain as he failed to receive support from the other end. Khushdil Shah picked four wickets for his side while David Wiley got three to his credit.
