From modest beginnings in Aligarh to earning crores in the IPL, Rinku Singh’s journey is as inspiring as it gets. In a candid chat on Kolkata Knight Riders’ YouTube series Knight Bite, Rinku shared the emotional significance behind his tattoos — “God’s Plan” inked on his left arm and a clock showing 2:20 on the right. That exact time marks the moment he was picked by KKR in the 2018 auction for ₹80 lakhs — a moment that transformed his life and lifted his entire family.

“Before that auction, we lived in a two-room house, struggling to make ends meet. I used to do small jobs while pursuing cricket. When KKR picked me, that money helped us buy a house and ease the pressure of my siblings’ marriages. That’s why I got these tattoos — they remind me of that life-changing moment,” Rinku Singh said.
