The left-hander, however, could not attend the official appointment ceremony held in Lucknow due to his commitments with the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 season. Addressing this, he said, “Due to my commitment to KKR, I wasn’t able to attend the appointment ceremony.”

Rinku Singh further added, “I will soon receive my letter from CM Yogi and seek his blessings.” His intention to personally visit Lucknow reflects his grounded nature despite his growing stature in Indian cricket.

According to sports officials, Rinku Singh will assume his duties once his cricketing schedule allows, with responsibilities designed to complement his professional career. This flexibility ensures he can continue representing India while contributing administratively.
