With a close win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Monday (October 4), Delhi Capitals (DC) sealed their place in the top two. Shimron Hetmyer kept his cool during the chase to take DC over the line when things looked tough at one stage on a slow pitch. No wonder each of the players of the Capitals was delighted after the victory and it was visible in their celebrations later in the dressing room.

The official Twitter handle of DC posted a video giving a sneak-peek into the dressing room in which the players were seen enjoying the victory over CSK. There were brimming smiles on the faces of the DC players after beating one of the top teams in the IPL this season.

Among all, Ripal Patel was seen imitating Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siiiiuu’ celebration and hogged the limelight. In the video, Ripal could be seen performing the same Ronaldo-like celebration after the victory. The popular Football player’s icnoic ‘Siiiiuu’ celebration, which he has often been seen doing after scoring the goal is famous across the world. Here is the video of the same:

Meanwhile, it was a memorable day for Ripal Patel on the field as well, as he made his IPL debut for the Capitals. He was seen playing in the middle order. Having already qualified for the playoffs, DC had decided to replace Steve Smith with Patel and they played with just three overseas players, not for the first time this season.

Ripal Patel was seen batting at number five with the team’s score reading 71/3 and stitched a useful partnership of 22 runs with Shikhar Dhawan. Interestingly, the debutant dominated the partnership scoring 18 runs out of it and showed promise before getting out to Ravindra Jadeja in the 13th over. Ripal was handling the CSK spinners well with deft touches and placement of the ball in order to rotate the strike.
