The young Indian wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant has been enjoying some great outings with the bat in the last year or so. He has witnessed a decent increase in his value as he went from a rather unknown quantity. Who set the Indian Premier League (IPL) on fire. Meanwhile, he has also become a regular member of the Indian Test side. Even in the IPL, he has played two special knocks against Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) where he single-handedly took Delhi Capitals (DC) to a win.

After seeing the tendency of Pant to throw away his wicket, some experts also believe that this habit of throwing his wicket may be the reason why he wasn’t picked in the Indian World Cup team and Dinesh Karthik was chosen over him.

Describing the same to Times of India, Pant said, “I take any criticism positively. Finishing matches is important. I will learn to do it consistently. You only learn from your experiences and mistakes. Things don’t change overnight. I am just 21. It’s difficult to think like a 30-year-old man. In due course, my mind will be stronger and there will be a lot of maturity. You need to give it time.”
