Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant feels he has evolved as a cricketer in the last twelve months more than ever. He is happy that his efforts are giving good results for his team.
Pant has been India’s most prolific batsman since the tour of Australia where he played two sensational knocks. He scored flamboyant 97 runs in Sydney Test against Australia and almost took India to an unlikely win but the game ended in a draw after a heroic resilience from Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin’s bat.

In the next game at Gabba, India was needed to win the game to win the series. Pant repeated his Sydney heroics on the final day in Brisbane as well. He scored unbeaten 89 runs on the fifth day to clinch the most unlikely win and led India to a historic Test series win Down Under.
Pant reflected upon his recent sensational performances and believed his journey has been full of ups and downs.
“I think it’s been an amazing journey because there have been a lot of ups and downs. But it has been a good learning for me. As a cricketer you evolve, learning from your mistakes, improve yourselves, come back to the ground and perform well,” he said.
The 23-year-old further mentioned he evolved a lot in the last one year.

“I think as a cricketer, I have evolved more what I have been doing in last one year or so. You keep doing your processes right but sometimes you don’t get the result. But you have to trust your process and keep doing the same thing again and again. I have been getting the results now so that’s the happy part,” Pant further added.
Pant is currently in England, where he is gearing up for the upcoming five-match Test series against England. He made his Test debut during the last tour of England and scored his maiden Test hundred during the final Test match at the Kia Oval.
Indian team has high expectations from him going into this mouth-watering contest. The first Test will go begin on August 4 in Nottingham.
