BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had previously hinted at Pant’s potential inclusion in the Indian side for the T20 World Cup, emphasizing the significance of his role as a wicketkeeper. โ€œHe is batting well, he is keeping well. We will declare him fit very soon. If he can play the T20 World Cup for us, that will be a big thing for us. He is a big asset for us. If he can keep, he can play the World Cup. Letโ€™s see how he does in the IPL,โ€ Shah stated.

Pant’s return to wicketkeeping duties not only bolsters his participation in the IPL but also raises optimism about his potential inclusion in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup, provided his form and fitness are maintained during the IPL season.
