Talented Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, who recently faced a near-fatal car accident on December 30, is finally able to ‘sit out and breathe fresh air’. Pant, who has undergone several surgeries since the accident, posted an Instagram story, giving fans an update about his recovery as well. In the picture, Pant was seen sitting outside, getting to feel the fresh air again as well.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is all set to take on Australia in a 4-match Test series, where Pant will surely be missed. What he had famously done on India’s last tour Down Under, won’t be replicated again. Hence, Australian legend Ian Chappell feels the hosts will not be happy to not have him as well.

“India are really going to really miss Rishabh Pant. The Australians will be happy. He is a counter attacker, the guy who keep you awake are guys who score quickly and changes game in one session. Pant was one such player,” Chappell said during an interaction organised by Star Sports.

Moreover, his unavailability has further thrown the team combination into a puzzle, which is why Kapil Dev, the former India captain, is not happy with his accident.

“I love him very much. I want him to get well and when he gets well If you go, I will go and slap you hard, because take care of yourself.
