Rishabh Pant Goes Back To Pavilion after Riyan Parag’s Direct Hit

The newly appointed captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper, Rishabh Pant played a  whirlwind knock of a 32-ball 51, but his innings was been cut short by a brilliant direct hit by Riyan Parag. The incident took palce in the 13th over of Delhi Capitals innings when Pant, after having nudged the ball on the on-side, set off for a non-existent run.

But Riyan Parag was quick to colect teh ball in time and managed toff as he got to the ball quickly and hit bulls-eye at the bowler’s end. The TV replays were called for, but Rishabh Pant knew that he will be have to go back the pavilion the brilliant direct hit by Parag as he kept on walking.

The wicket of Rishabh Pant came at a crucial time for Rajasthan Royals (RR) as the flamboaynt wicket-keeper batsman was looking in prime form and he could’ve taken the game away from RR, Pant, who had come to the crease after Delhi Capitals had lost both of its openers in Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, successfully weathered the storm after DC had lost their first four wickets inside seven overs and laid into Rajasthan Royal’s spinners.

Rishabh Pant smoked four boundaries in one Rahul Tewatia over and soon brought up his half-century which came off just 30 balls. But just as it looked that the skipper was warming up for a three-figure score, his innings was cut short by the brilliance of Riyan Parag, who was then seen with his ‘Bihu dance’ after his bulls-eye throw saw the back of the southpaw.

Earlier, both the teams made a couple of changes to their respective squad as RR replaced Shreyas Gopal, and Ben Stokes with David Miller and Jaydev Unadkat. On the other hand, for DC, Shimron Hetmyer and Amit Mishra made way for Kagiso Rabada and Lalit Yadav.
