The young Indian batsman Rishabh Pant is currently enjoying the purple patch of his career in the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has had a very successful run in the tournament so far. With his excellent performances this year for Delhi Daredevils (DD), he is now one of the top contenders for the coveted Orange Cap – an award for the leading run scorer in an IPL season. It is unfortunate for him and the cricket fans that DD will not be playing the playoffs.

Seeing the positive aspect of it, Pant’s performances gave the testimony that these are some positive signs for the Indian cricket team. Team India is already looking for an apt replacement for MS Dhoni in ODIs and T20Is. There is a lot of speculation about Dhoni will announce his retirement after the ICC Cricket World Cup next year. 

However, Rishabh has always had special regards for MS Dhoni and certainly, the two cricketers share a lot of admiration for each other. Recently, when the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) locked horns with  Delhi Daredevils (DD) on Friday, Pant managed to catch up with another Dhoni, Sakshi Dhoni.

Rishabh faced off against MS Dhoni on the field. But prior to the match, he managed to catch up with MSD’s wife, Sakshi. He did not miss out on taking a picture and was quick to post it on his Instagram story as well. He used the dog filters in the picture and he is seen taking a selfie with Sakshi.

The fans certainly loved the picture and were happy to see Dhoni’s potential successor on the field be at jovial terms with Dhoni’s family members. Well, there is certainly a lot of camaraderie in the Indian team. Check out the status put by Rishabh Pant here:
