“He is being closely monitored by the BCCI Medical Team and is on his way to recovery. He will be able to join the squad in Durham after returning two negative RT-PCR tests.”
Pant will be allowed to join the team after returning two negative RT-PCR tests. Wriddhiman Saha, Bharat Arun and Easwaran will get back with the team after completing their isolation period. Thus, both Pant and Saha will not be taking part in the warm-up game in Durham against County XI, which is scheduled to start on July 20.
The BCCI also confirmed that the entire Indian contingent including travelling family members and caretakers were administered the second dose of covid vaccine earlier this month in London. The Indian contingent is also taking the Lateral Flow Test on a daily basis to mitigate risk.
