Initially struggling against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, Pant found his form against Chennai Super Kings, scoring a crucial fifty that marked Delhi’s first win of the season. The momentum continued with the triumph over Lucknow Super Giants. Restricting LSG to 167 runs through commendable bowling efforts, Delhi comfortably chased down the target, with Pant contributing 41 runs and Jake Fraser-McGurk delivering an impressive knock of 55.

Reflecting on the victory, Rishabh Pant underscored the team’s resilience and determination, expressing relief at the much-needed win and emphasizing the squad’s hunger for success. Despite facing challenges such as injuries, Pant remained optimistic, urging his teammates to maintain a champion’s mindset and persevere.
Speaking in the post-match presentation, Rishabh Pant stated, “Little relief, we wanted a win badly. I was talking to the boys saying we need to think like champions, we need to keep fighting hard. (On bowling) We have phases where we are not up to the mark, some individuals have to take responsibility for that. However, we stick together as a group.”

He added, “Some things you can control, some things we can’t. (On team combination) I think we are getting closer to the right XI, but we’ve had so many injuries in this group.
