Rishabh Pant lit up the Ekana Stadium with a spectacular knock on Tuesday, celebrating his first-ever century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in flamboyant fashion. Facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their final league match, Pant silenced his critics with a breathtaking 118* off just 61 balls โ a performance that not only reignited his season but also showcased his trademark flair.
Walking into the game with just one fifty to his name in the tournament, Pant was under pressure. But the LSG skipper responded in style, hammering the RCB bowlers all around the park. He reached his hundred in just 54 deliveries โ the fastest century ever by an LSG batter โ and only the second IPL ton of his career. His previous best was a stunning 128* for Delhi Capitals against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.

Pant brought up his century in the 18th over, smashing a boundary through the covers off a wide delivery from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The celebration that followed was even more iconic โ a backflip that stunned the crowd and his teammates alike. It was the first time the dynamic left-hander pulled off such a move on a cricket field, drawing huge cheers from the LSG dugout and fans in the stands.
