Ahead of the upcoming 5-match Test series against England from August 4, the young Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has recalled his journey in Test cricket in 2018. He made his Test debut in Nottingham and scored 25 runs in the first match. A match later, Rishabh Pant slammed a century at The Oval. Talking about his moment, Pant has said that it was a special knock as he performed under pressure and in front of the English crowd.
During a recent video posted by the BCCI, Rishabh Pant said, “I have seen a lot of ups and downs in my early career but it has been a good learning for me because as a cricketer you evolve and you learn from your mistake, improve and come back to the ground and perform well. That’s the only thing every cricketer is trying to do. So I am glad to learn from my mistakes and capitalize on whatever opportunity I got after that.”

He further elaborated, “It was an amazing experience, especially when I came to the Test set up, I was really young, I was 19 or 20. I debuted in Nottingham. That was a happy moment. Then we played 1 or 2 more matches and then I got a hundred in Oval. Especially in England, it was an amazing experience in front of that crowd, we were under pressure. It was an amazing memory for me.”
