Dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant thrashed Himachal Pradesh’s bowling line-up in a league match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as he raced to 32-ball hundred in the game to become the fastest Indian batsman to score a T20 ton.
Chasing 145-run target, Delhi registered a 10-wicket win as Gautam Gambhir and Pant, both remained unbeaten. Pant became the second fastest batsman to score a T20 hundred, only behind Chris Gayle, who tore bowling apart during his 30-ball 100 for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Delhi lad scored unbeaten 116 in 38 balls including 8 fours and 12 towering sixes. This power-hitting led Delhi to reach the target in less than 12 overs.
