Rishabh Pant is set to make a much-anticipated return to cricket in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The Delhi Capitals have officially confirmed his return as their captain for the 2024 season, marking a significant milestone in his recovery from a serious accident last year. Currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, Pant is on track to regain full fitness by the end of February.

“If he is not keeping, he will definitely be on the field and will lead the side,” affirmed a Delhi Capitals official, confirming that Pant will be their captain even if he cannot perform wicketkeeping duties.

In another significant development, the IPL mini-auction is scheduled to take place at the Coca-Cola arena in Dubai on December 19th. A total of 333 players, including 214 Indians and 119 overseas players, will be under the hammer, with players like Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, and Harry Brook expected to be in high demand.
