Though the Aussie lower-order batsmen put some desperate fights in the ending moment, the visitors just managed to win the game in the closing moment.

Talking about the game and his milestone, Pant said, “It was really nervous as they were coming close, but we did well. I’m very happy to contribute to the team, first time getting to this milestone.”

However, Pant has got the special attention in this game for his funny banter to Pat Cummins during the fourth innings of the match.

On Monday, when Cummins was playing a very patience knock of 28 runs off 121 balls, Pant was constantly chirping on him from behind the stumps.

Some of those were, “Come on Pat – you’re not putting the bad ball away!”, “Tough to play here,” “Let’s see some sixes, come on Patty”, “Not going for the shots Patty? etc. His constant chirping amused everyone who heard those.

Speaking on that, Pant added, “I always enjoy troubling batsmen. I love it when they concentrate on me and not on the bowlers.”
