The South African top-order batter, Keegan Petersen was snaffled by Ravichandran Ashwin in the 28th over of the South African second innings in Johannesday against Indian. To a delivery from the premier Indian off-spinner that pitched outside off stump and spun sharply, Petersen went for the flick shot. However, the right-hander failed to connect the ball and was wrapped on the pads.
When the Indian players appealed, the umpire had no hesitation in raising the fingerPetersen and Dean Elgar was in discussion as to whether they should go upstairs or not, but before they could arrive at a conclusion, the DRS timer ran out.

And, Indian wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant took advantage of this and passed comments on Elgar. Pant taunted Elgar stating that he is a ‘good’ captain, and thinks only about himself. Here is the video of the incident:

With the willow, Dean Elgar looked solid on Day 3. The left-handed opening batter scored a sedate 121-ball 46* and frustrated the Indian bowling attack. Apart from Elgar, Aiden Markram and Keegan Petersen also contributed useful runs for the Proteas.

While Markram scored a quick 31, Petersen contributed 28 runs, as South Africa ended the third day with their scoreboard reading 118/2. Earlier in the day, the Indian team was bowled out for a total of 266 in their second innings. Experienced willow wielders Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane scored fluent half-centuries for the Indian side.
The likes of Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Marco Jansen scalped 3 wickets each with the red cherry in hand for South Africa. India currently leads the three-match Test series 1-0.
