The student, Jyoti Kanaboor Math from Rabakavi village in Bilagi taluk, had scored an impressive 83% in her II PUC (Class 12). However, her ambition to study further was nearly derailed due to her family’s financial struggles. Her father, Teerthayya, runs a modest tea stall, and paying college fees seemed impossible.

When Jyoti Kanaboor reached out to local contractor Anil Hunashikatti for help with securing a BCA seat at BLDE College in Jamkhandi, he took her plea seriously. Determined to help, Anil contacted friends in Bengaluru who were well connected with Rishabh Pant. Upon learning about Jyoti’s situation, Pant immediately came forward and transferred ₹40,000 to the college’s account on July 17, covering her first-semester fees.
