Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history in IPL 2025 by becoming the youngest player ever to play in the tournament. At just 14 years and 23 days old, Vaibhav marked his debut for Rajasthan Royals against Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The left-handed batter wasted no time in announcing his arrival, smashing a six off the very first ball he faced.

His knock helped Rajasthan Royals get off to a strong start, as he shared an 85-run opening partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Unfortunately, his promising innings was cut short when Rishabh Pant executed a stunning stumping off Aiden Markram’s bowling on the fourth ball of the 9th over.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for ₹1.10 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, has already made a name for himself in the cricketing world. His rise to fame began with a blistering century for India Under-19 against Australia Under-19 in Chennai, where he set the record for the fastest century by an India Under-19 player, scoring 104 off 62 balls. At just 13 years old, he also became the youngest batsman to score an international century, showcasing his immense potential and skill.
