Rivaba Jadeja, wife of India’s World Cup-winning all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, has sparked a major discussion online after a video surfaced in which she claimed that several Indian cricketers indulge in “wrongful activities” during overseas tours. While she avoided naming anyone, Rivaba praised her husband for maintaining his integrity, staying disciplined, and steering clear of negative influences despite the temptations of international travel.

Her remarks have raised questions about the atmosphere within the Indian camp and the off-field culture surrounding modern cricket. Rivaba suggested that even Jadeja could have slipped into the wrong environment, but his sense of responsibility as an elite athlete kept him grounded.
Ravindra Jadeja remains one of India’s most decorated all-format players. The seasoned all-rounder, who retired from T20Is shortly after India’s historic World Cup triumph last year, continues to be a crucial part of the Test and ODI setup. Since making his international debut in 2009, Jadeja has featured in 89 Tests, 207 ODIs, and 74 T20Is, amassing close to 6,500 international runs and picking up 634 wickets with his world-class left-arm spin.

The 37-year-old is set to return to action for India in January during the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Following that, all eyes will shift to the IPL 2026 season, where Jadeja will once again don the Rajasthan Royals jersey.

Jadeja, who enjoyed tremendous success with Chennai Super Kings, was traded back to Rajasthan Royals as part of a high-profile swap that saw Sanju Samson move to CSK. Interestingly, RR co-owner Manoj Badale revealed that Jadeja himself initiated the move.

“Jaddu reached out to me about four weeks ago, around mid-October,” Manoj Badale said. “He told me he was excited about the possibility of ‘coming home,’ as he put it — returning to the franchise where he began his IPL journey and truly became visible to cricket fans across India.”
