The Road Safety World Series has become a platform for the fans to see some of the retired legends and icons at the same time, teh players get to prove themselves on the field. Renowned stalwarts of the game like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Jonty Rhodes, Herschelle Gibbs, Virender Sehwag, etc took part in the tournament last year an succeeded in taking the passionate cricket fans back in time during the inaugural edition.
Meanwhile, it has been officially confirmed that the Road Safety Series will be taking place in 2022 as well. At one point, the future of this tournament looked bleak but now, all the speculations have been laid to rest and the second edition of the competition is scheduled to be played in India in various cities across the country from the last week of February to the last week of March.

One of the sources of MYKhel said, “The organizers are looking for a window during the early part of the Indian summer to hold the second edition of the Road Safety World Series in at least four cities in India – Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Lucknow, and Indore. Though the final schedule is yet to be closed, you can expect to see the legends in action again in the next couple of month.”
The source further added, “The organizers and local administrations in these cities are also keeping a close watch on the current Covid scenario in the country to decide whether fans can be allowed in the stadium during the event. A final call on this will be taken at a later stage depending on the prevailing situation at that time.”
The first edition of Road Safety Series witnessed the participation of the retired cricketers from India, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, Australia, Bangladesh, and the West Indies. The cricket tournament which is played in the T20 format has been organized to provide awareness on road safety around the world.

The Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends went in to win the tournament in the inaugural edition last year after getting the better of Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs in the decider. Though it remains to be seen if Sachin will feature in this edition as reports emerged recently of him not playing in the tournament.
